Dan Gutierrez is a partner at Kunzler, PC, a corporate and intellectual property focused boutique law firm. Mr. Gutierrez's practice focused on assisting private companies with general corporate matters, fundraising and acquisitions, as well as representing angel investors, venture capital firms and mezzanine debt lenders that invest in private companies. Mr. Gutierrez has worked with over 150 startups and investors in private financings raising over $1B in the aggregate as well as exit transactions valued at over $4.5B in aggregate proceeds. Mr. Gutierrez's clients span a variety of industries, including the software/SAAS, wireless hardware, cleantech, fintech, life science, healthcare and medical device industries.
Mr. Gutierrez has also been involved with a number of startup focused organizations in San Diego, including Startup Leadership Program, Evonexus, the Zhan Innovation Center, and the Founder's Institute.
Mr. Gutierrez attended undergrad at the University of California, San Diego where he double majored in Cognitive Science (specialization in Human Computer Interaction) and Economics (specialization in Management Science). Mr. Gutierrez attended law school at the University of Chicago. Prior to Kunzler, Mr. Gutierrez was a former senior associate at Cooley's San Diego office.
